Okay, after posting the bug and reading yole's response, I've decided to encode my RSS content after all. I'm still not convinced that it's actually the &lt;em&gt;correct&lt;/em&gt; thing to do, but it seems to be the &lt;em&gt;practical&lt;/em&gt; thing.

Okay, after posting the bug and reading yole&#8217;s response, I&#8217;ve decided to encode my <acronym title='Rich Site Summary'><span class='caps'>RSS</span></acronym> content after all. I&#8217;m still not convinced that it&#8217;s actually the <em>correct</em> thing to do, but it seems to be the <em>practical</em> thing.</p>

Actually, my feed &lt;a href="http://feeds.archive.org/validator/check?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdougal.gunters.org%2Fmyphpblog%2Frss2.php"&gt;is fine&lt;/a&gt;. It appears that Syndirella is decoding the entities before it passes them to the HTML rendering engine. I'll post a bug report.
