Welcome aboard!

It appears that SixApart has realized that their new terms were a bit too restrictive for a lot of people, and they are solicting more feedback. I presume that they will use this information to offer some more relaxed terms for some of the edge cases. This is a good thing.

I don't want people to think that there is any kind of big "MT vs WP" war going on. Far from it. While I think some good-natured competition is fun, I don't think anyone can deny that MT is a good product that fills the needs of a great many users. And the same can be said of WP.

Different users (or "customers", if you will) have different needs, and different priorities on which features are most important to them. Choose the tool that works best for you.

Not to try to equate myself with a blogging "big name" or anything... I just wanted to chime in somewhere and say after all these years, this latest MovableType license change followed by my exploration of WordPress finally have me realizing how important it is to use open source software whenever possible. I get it now! I really, really do!
