		<description>Andreas: they explained their reasons for using HTML4 rather than XHTML. The fact that they moved away from table-based layout to CSS is more important in the grand scheme of things.</description>

		<description>I don't think it's a great redesign though.  &lt;a href="http://elliottback.com/wp/archives/2005/09/23/slashdot-redesigns-whats-the-cost/" rel="nofollow"&gt;63% of the download&lt;/a&gt; is javascript for ads.  That's a lot of ads.</description>
