WordPress 2.0.7 has been released (yes, I know I missed announcing 2.0.6, but I was on vacation). The major focus of this release was a new security patch under certain versions of PHP with register_globals turned on, plus a fix in Conditional GET support under certain combinations of IIS/PHP-CGI versions (AKA the “Feedburner bug”). There are a few other minor bugfixes in there, as well.
As always, all users are encouraged to upgrade. You can download the new version in the usual place.

[...] Yet another note for the wonderful and long suffering RSS feed readers of this weblog: My RSS feed trouble has come to an end. It was a violent end, technologically speaking, but an end it was. I forced deleted all of my Feedburner feeds and all of the goofy feed redirects (which caused me a few errors in Google Webmaster Tools) and started all over again, using my site’s default RSS 2.0 feed. I must say that none of this was Feedburner issue. It was a Shawn issue which began with my impulsive and reckless rush to try and “fix” feed issues created by upgrading to from Wordpress 2.0.5 to 2.0.6. Thankfully, the feed issues (AKA the “Feedburner Bug”) were fixed in Wordpress 2.0.7. So, happily, all is back to normal here at this weblog, save my subscribe number which should run back up to normal calculations in a few days.
