I botched my install about a week ago, and as it takes only six strokes of the keyboard to get a fresh install, I figured "what the heck." <code>svn up</code> When logging into the control panel to check if everything was functioning correctly, I noticed "v2.1.1--RC1" in the footer. That was kind of scary at first, but it worked out okay. A couple days later I <code>svn up</code>'d again and lo-and-behold I had v2.1.1, two days before the release announcement. So there you go.
