Actually, that’s a symptom of a feed reader that doesn’t implement the standards correctly. If your reader keeps showing you the item over and over, it’s because it’s ignoring both the GUID and “last updated” timestamp, which should be how a reader determines if an item has been updated.

In any case, I had already started working on reworking the code to not filter feeds. But I was already working on it because of the previous commenter who asked much more politely (thank you, Matt). I missed a case in my first pass, but I just now got that covered, so RSS readers should all see the plain text version of the post and comments from now on.
