Whatever you end up doing, I really like the colour scheme you are using as it makes your site very easy to read - keep up the good work

Hmm. I'm using the latest (well, as of last night) SVN of WordPress 2.7-hemorrhage and Simple Tags 1.5.7 with no problems. Maybe I'm just lucky. ;-)

Just to let you know, the Simple Tags plugin which I use also hasn't been updated past WordPress 2.5 compatibility and does not function using the latest trunk builds of WP 2.7 (2.7 throws the built-in "not compatible" alert when Simple Tags is activated. In checking the Google Code site for the plugin it looks like development has been all but abandoned unfortunately with issues with WP 2.6 left unanswered.

Thanks for your list of plugins you like. There are so many, it's hard to keep track of which ones are best.

Simple Tags is awesome. I use it to creates a list of possibly related posts (which it looks like you're using for your "other posts of interest"). I also like Twitter Tools.

I'm not sure that Easy Gravatars is still necessary now that the latest versions of WordPress support Gravatars, Identicons, Wavatars, and MonsterIDs.

I think comments is a weak spot for WordPress. I'm interested in seeing how its acquisition of Intense Debate will improve things. In the meantime, Subscribe to Comments is mandatory. I also like Filosofo Comments Preview plugin. Commenters don't have to guess whether HTML markup will work. I highly recommend it.

Ah, looks like you're using WP Ajax Edit Comments instead. I had no idea I would be able to edit once a clicked post comment.

Looking forward to your next WordPress Wednesday.
