Even before the recent announcement about Gravatar joining Automattic, I had been wanting to turn on comment avatars here. I nabbed Matt’s code, fooled with it a little, and now my comments are Gravatar enabled.
A couple of things that I discovered:

Since I occassionally dabble with graphics and web design, I tend to collect fonts. But I’m just a hobbiest, not a professional designer, so I usually can’t justify purchasing professional font sets. So I bookmark the occassional “free fonts” website. Which is why I’m glad I found out about FontLeech: The Free Font Blog.

Plugin preview: FancyBox Gallery
I don’t have it ready for release yet, but I’m working on a new WordPress plugin which will integrate the FancyBox jQuery plugin with WordPress galleries. FancyBox is a “lightbox” plugin for displaying images in a nice overlay. I have the basics working, but I need to add an options screen, and resolve some CSS issues when it’s used with certain themes.
I hope to have it ready by next week (depends on how much spare time I can find). [...]
