My 1 year-old daughter just had her surgery one week ago and I decided to put all of our experience on this topic into an online blog. From someone that has gone through what your daughter is going through (all fingers expect thumbs myself) keep your daughters fingers active. Especially her non dominant hand. My problem was that my fingers were seperated but my muscles within my fingers did not know that and they made my fingers still move as one. I would recommend activities to make her fingers work independently of each other.
Thanks for the tip, my daughter's new fingers look and work really well, she is constantly using them and I notice that they move independently if she wants them to, depending on what she holds, picks-up or plays with, maybe because she's only 1 year's-old. Thanks so much for the reply! Ania will go through physio and occupational therapies.
