hi, i'm an 18 year old girl who has webbed 2nd and 3rd toes on both feet up to my nail beds, making them quite obvious. My toes were never an issue up until around the age of 11. I never wear open toe shoes and do not enjoy going to the beach or swimming pool with my friends because i am embarrassed - mostly because not many people know about my toes. My parents had the option of getting them separated when i was a baby but they didnt feel it neccessary to put me through the pain as it was something 'minor'. However, i wish their decision had have been different. Apparently two of my cousins toes are exactly the same as mine, however i have never seen or talked to them about it. I went to my GP about this problem about 4 years ago and further sent to see a specialist who declined the separation of my toes as soon as i described it to him. Feeling there was no hope made me extremely upset as it is something i am very conscious of. I would be 110% willing to have a surgical seperation of my toes if it was made available to me, but i do not know how to go about this, any help? Much appreciated
