Katrina aftermath

I talked to my mom this morning, and she said that all of our Mississippi relatives are accounted for. One family lost their house and is staying with other relatives, and one of my great aunts fell and broke her hip, and is in the hospital. Other than that, everyone is fine.

Awesome news, Dougal. With all the bad news coming out of the area it’s good to hear some good news.

Indeed, that is some good news. As an African and from Sub-Saharan Africa Katrina has taught me two things:
    1. It is expensive for someone in America to be poor.
    2. It is extremely expensive for someone in America to be black and poor! May God bless both the rich and poor Americans.
