There’s only one week left until Talk Like a Pirate Day! If you haven’t already downloaded my Text Filter Suite, which contains the awesome tfs-pirate filter, then you’d better hop to it! What’s that? You want to know what it does? It turns your blog into pirate-speak on Talk Like a Pirate Day! Well, it does some other stuff, too, but we’re mostly concerned with the piratey bits here.
For example, if you typed this:
I was driving to my girlfriend’s house the other day, and some guy cut me off and almost ran my car off the road! I hate when people do stupid things like that. Don’t you?
Then it might come out something like this:
I were sailin’ t’ me girlfriend’s house th’ other day, and some lubber cut me off and almost ran me boat off th’ sea, avast! I hate when scallywags do daft thin’s like that. Don’t ye, and a bucket o’ chum?
Doesn’t that make you wish that every day was Talk Like a Pirate Day?

TFS is my favorite plugin, hands down.

if i could get TFS to pirate-ify my spam, though, i wouldn’t mind having spam.
Adam, IINM, Dougal’s TFS does filter comments as well. Last year I had visitors talking like a pirate too, and it’s the Filter that’s hooking it I think.
Just to be clear, the TFS Pirate filter will automagically piratify one’s blog on TLAPD? E.g. I don’t have to write a post, use special tags or anything?
Mark: yes. It will automatically convert all posts and comments to pirate speak on TLAPD. But you can control it on individual posts (and/or comments on a post), as well.
I’m missing something… what EXACTLY do I have to enter into the custom field box to piratify my post or the comments?
I’ve entered “comment_filter” in the Key field and “pirate” in the Value field… the TFS Pirate and TFS Core plugins so I know they’re activated.
I’m on WP 2.0.4
I want a plugin that piratifies all the emails I get from my boss!
