Still tuning my work-from-home toolchain. Trying #Tomboy as a note-keeping tool. It’s like a wiki without the web server. # I think I’m going to un-follow a few people soon. If it turns out to be you, it’s nothing personal. Trying to raise the #tech s/n ratio. # Powered by Twitter Tools.

@zeldman Trivia: pound-for-pound, lemons contain more sugar than strawberries. # Knocked out some work-related email and IM this morning while I ate some fruit salad. Now to go run a couple of errands before I dig in. # Powered by Twitter Tools.

Kids are all at school, and I have breakfast and coffee. Now it’s quiet work time. Other than the noise of the cat chasing our dog around. # Power out at home. Going to store for a new printer cartridge. # Back @ home. Power is back. Working again. @zeldman Two words: Faraday Cage. Of course, the embassy should be the ones doing that… http://tinyurl.com/gqk9m # Installed #Firefox 3 Beta 2 late last night. So far, it does seem to be zippier and less memory hungry, especially with lots of tabs (~30). # Powered by Twitter Tools.

Firefox 3

Late last night, I installed Firefox 3 Beta 2. I’ve been running it all day, opening and closing tabs throughout, with a peak of around 45 tabs open, and an average somewhere around 25-30. I don’t know what they’ve done to improve the memory handling (it’s currently using 394M virtual, 161M resident, 19M shared), but the responsiveness has been awesome. In Firefox 2, my machine would have been thrashing like a dying wildebeest, slogging down … Continue reading

Just ordered some expansion packs for my DS, so I’ll be able to run homebrew games and DSLinux on it. Why? Because I can! # Drinking coffee from my Crowd Favorite mug. Gotta finish up a couple of project estimates, then dive into some server optimization… # Calling it a day. Got lots of work to dive into tomorrow. Now: time for family and food. # Powered by Twitter Tools.
