Even though I have lots of genetic ties to Scotland, my knowledge of Scottish culture is thin, at best. Maybe it would help if I could spell-check in Gaelic? I’d like to learn some Gaelic. Maybe I need to start visiting Focal an Lae more often. The focus there is Irish Gaelic, but it has notes about Scots Gaelic, as well.

Scott has been doing some interesting experiments. The first is a realtime visitor stats widget, and the second is a, uh… Well, I’m not sure exactly what it is. But it accepts pings via XML-RPC and displays them in realtime. Scott calls it BlogChatter, but I think it needs a different name.
There will be a lunar eclipse tomorrow night, visible throughout most of the United States. Of course, my area is expecting scattered thunderstorms, so we might not be able to see it. But there are three more eclipses due by the end of next year, so we should be able to catch at least one of them.
BlogMatcher is a nifty “what other blogs are similar to mine?” tool. It finds other blogs that link to similar sites, using a scoring technique to try to match up sites with similar interests.
I am aware that there are some glitches in some of the themes, particularly when viewed in Internet Explorer. I’ll try to fix them as soon as time allows (I really need to go through all my of my CSS and clean some things up). The problems are mostly in the Campbell and Tech themes. The W3C has released a new working draft for XHTML 2.0. As has been noted before, XHTML2 is very different from XHTML1, and XHTML1 is not without issues, if you want to get anal about it. Of course, since there aren’t any browsers that actually implement XHTML2, there’s still not much point in worrying about it. Yet.
