I’ve recently become aware that some people are having problems with my Service Pinger. Apparently, something about the halloween stylesheet is causing the form elements in the menu sidebar to overlap some of the ping form elements in such a way that they become unclickable.
I’ve made a minor adjustment to the stylesheet. So if you were having problems before, please try again now, and let me know if you are still having problems or if it is working for you again now.
Update: Ah, okay, it’s an IE6 issue… I normally use Mozilla, and I hadn’t checked IE lately. Working on it…
Update #2: Okay, tracked down the problem. I had an inline stylesheet on that page to set the width of the form, but it wasn’t specific enough, and caused the form elements in the menu to be too wide. Everybody should be happy again. ![]()

Hi–I like your toy and would like to put it on my blog.
I adopted the form from The Blog Hunter.
Is it okay to link to your pinger like this?

follow-up: It works beautifully and I see blogchatter is down. The prior post did strange things to my code though.
Sure, you can embed the form in your own site. Just be sure to check back here from time to time, in case I’ve made changes.
One of these days, I’ll get around to cleaning up the source a little, and making the PHP code available. It’s not like it’s terribly complex, really.
As far as Blogchatter goes, I need to test it again and see if I can figure out what’s going on with that one. But a ping to blo.gs will migrate into Blogchatter anyways. I think I’ll just hide that one in the form, for now.
