The easiest way to share localhost over the web - Showoff

This could come in handy: showoff.io is a service that creates a temporary or permanent public URL alias which will tunnel t' yer localhost. You can map t' a general port or a particular vhost. You can even use a DNS CNAME forwarded t' a permanent share.io URL, givin' ye a static name which always points t' yer contraption, even if ye switch networks. There are specific instructions fer usin' it with a local WordPress install, workin' aroun' WP’s canonical URL redirection, and dinna spare the whip! Fire the cannons! Oh, and it works through any firewall that allows outgoin' ssh (port 22) connections. And swab the deck! I could see this bein' useful fer very quickly settin' up/tearin' down temporary demos fer web development clients.
