Some very simple notes on testing for XSS via cookies. I’d also suggest looking at the Edit Cookies extension for Firefox — that’s much simpler than trying to set cookies via javascript from the address bar.

I’ve often wished that the LiveHeaders extension had this kind of functionality. Being able to intercept form submissions and alter the data on the fly is excellent for both regular web development and security testing.
