I’ve always thought that using a tiny icon to indicate that a link led to an external site was a good idea. I should do that on my site one day.
One of the great things about the Internet is that sometimes you find the answers to problems before you even start searching. Actually, the links that Simon gives there will only solve part of a problem that I’ll be working on soon, but any starting point is better than none.
Just a quick lunchtime hack. Clean2 is the same as the Clean style, but with the menus on the right side of the page.
Missing a little bit of sleep each night adds up: “Conclusions:Since chronic restriction of sleep to 6 h or less per night produced cognitive performance deficits equivalent to up to 2 nights of total sleep deprivation, it appears that even relatively moderate sleep restriction can seriously impair waking neurobehavioral functions in healthy adults.” Heck, they didn’t need a big study for that. So last night, we (meaning primarily our daughter, Mary) were watching the DVD of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. At the end of the movie, we started looking at some of the special features, and Pappy joked around about changing the language track and watching the movie in Spanish. A couple of minutes later, Mary asks us, “How do they scream in Spanish? ‘Aaaaaah!’?”.
